Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG from Frankfurt secured the contract for the refurbishment of the tunnels on the Eifel line. The contract is composed of two lots: Lot 1 includes the Dechen (177 m), Kyllburger (218 m), Wilsecker (1266 m) tunnels ; Lot 2 includes Philippsheimer (264 m), Friedrich Wilhelm (333 m), Loskyller (293 m), Heinzkyller (200 m) and Kyller (138 m) tunnels. Duration of contract from 07/10/2024 to 09/02/2025.
