The Danish public transportation company Metroselskabet I/S awarded to JV Zublin A/S (60 percent)/Hochtief (40 percent) the EUR150 million contract for Copenhagen’s new metro line between Ostersogade and the new Nordhavn metro station, part of the City Circle Line in the Danish capital. The contract involves the design and construction of twin TBM tunnels, lengths 1,800 m and 1,600 m, the 80 m Nordhavn subway station, a small tunnel, a ramp structure, a service shaft/emergency exit and a pedestrian transfer tunnel to the existing S-train urban rail station Nordhavn. The contract includes the installation works. The design of the project will start immediately; the first construction works will begin in late 2014. Final handover to Metroselskabet will be in 2019.
