The Austrian railway company OEBB Infrastructure AG awarded to PORR Bau GmbH the EUR297 million contract for the KAT3 final construction section (KAT3) of the Koralm railway tunnel.
This major project involves construction of the two tunnel tubes with a total bore length of 21km.
For the southern existing 7.6 km long tunnel will be widened to the full profile. In addition, a further 3.3 km of new tunnel will be built in the full profile.
