STRABAG has been awarded line U1 extension contracts U1/9 Altes Landgut and U1/10 Troststrasse, value around EUR90 million. Underground line U1 is being extended from Reumannplatz station to Oberlaa to provide a direct link between the densely populated areas of the Per-Albin-Hansson-Siedlung housing estate and the city centre. Construction time is 47 months for U1/10 and 54 months for U1/9, commencing April, 2012 for completion May, 2016.
