Metro - Line H

Starting end-1998 in two stages of 5 km to connect Retiro railway station with Nueva Pompeya. Will be known as H-line with 12 stations planned enroute and four interchanges with other lines. May 1998.The first section of line H has been awarded to Dycasa for a start between January and March, 2001 while bids for the second section are under evaluation by the city of Buenos Aires. More from teaspk@tearg.com.ar November 2000.Five companies have submitted financial bids for the construction of the south section of Line H, between Caseros and Hospitales, with two new stations in Parque Patricios, under Caseros Avenue, and Hospitales, under Almafuerte Avenue. The Ps71,188,471 low bid, below the official estimate, has been submitted by Jose Cartellone. Dycasa offered Ps86,342,428 and Benito Roggio Ps87,700,550. Techint proposed Ps92,148,448 while Skanska is the highest bidder with Ps99,342,428. The financial bids will now be assessed prior to the contract award, which will also take into account the technical bids. This will be the second section of Line H. The first section, which construction is under way by Dycasa, includes five stations from Once to Caseros. Line H spans 11.4 km from the south to downtown and will serve a total of 16 stations.
