The Road Infrastructure Agency launched a new open procedure for design and construction of Lot 3.1, the Zheleznitsa tunnel of Struma motorway. The indicative value of the contract is BGN 250 million excluding VAT. The project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through Operational Program Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014 – 2020.
The public procurement is in 3 separate positions – for the tunnel with a length of 2 ΠΊΠΌ, the longest ever constructed in Bulgaria, as well as for the road before and after the facility. The procurement is divided into three lots to enable simultaneous operations on the site, in order to complete the project within the term of the OPTTI 2014 – 2020.
The differentiated positions are as follows:
Position No. 1: Subsection No. 1 from km 366+000 to km 366+720, including a service tunnel road at the Zheleznitsa tunnel north portal. Indicative value: BGN 33 545 308 VAT exclusive. The deadline for implementation of design and construction works is 600 calendar days.
Position No. 2: Subsection No. 2 from km 366+720 to km 369+000, including a service tunnel road at the Zheleznitsa tunnel south portal and a helipad. Indicative value: BGN 194 301 267 VAT exclusive. The deadline for implementation of design and construction works is 1060 calendar days.
Position No. 3: Subsection No. 3 from km 369+000 to km 370+400. Indicative value: BGN 22 153 425 VAT exclusive. The deadline for implementation of design and construction works is 660 calendar days. 45/17.
