Wirth / NFM Technologies Group Creates Subsidiary in SpainThe Wirth / NFM Technologies Group has created NFM-Wirth Service S.A., a subsidiary located in Madrid. The new company has been operational since early June and is designed to back the group in its development in Spain.NFM-Wirth Service's ambition is to provide a local service and to quickly become a prominent local partner. Two years have gone by since Wirth and NFM Technologies joined their forces within the same group offering a complete range of equipment and services in areas such as mining, foundations, drilling equipment and also large mechanical systems or tunnelling machines. With a turnover of EUR180 million in 2003 and a workforce of 750 people, the group has become a key player, particularly in the tunnelling industry.Over the last few years, Spain has been energetically implementing an ambitious modernisation policy for its transport and communication infrastructure.
