On September 20, 2018, the last CREG TBM (ø 7.54m)
successfully broke through into the Carlibach Station in Tel Aviv, Israel. The project used 6 sets of CREG EPBs and the
contractor as part of a JV has finished 11.793 m tunnel within 2 years to
European standard design and European standard construction.! Congratulation to
NTA and Contractor joint venture between CREG and Solel Boneh.
The Red Line will be the ‘backbone’ of the Tel Aviv Metro
system, where it will pass through the most congested regions of the
metropolitan area. On this project, the ground settlement control was a key
issue during TBM boring period. This meant that special combi-methods had to be
