On the 12/06/2020 TBM Maria  broke through at the C20 Kondratowicza station. The TBM completed the first part of the right tunnel on the north-east section of metro Line 2 in Warsaw.

The north-eastern extension of the Warsaw metro Line 2  includes three stations: C19 Zacisze, C20 Kondratowicza, and C21 Brodno with holding tracks, three ventilation shafts V19, V20, V21, receiving shaft C18 (KD18) and three single-rail track tunnels D19, D20, D2. The total length of tunnels D19, D20, D21 (without the length of the station) is  5,787 m to be lined with 3858 prefabricated rings please click here to see the TBM in action. Maria will now begin driving a 1320 m tunnel towards the C19 Zacisze station after she completes her maintenance stop.

Anna, the second TBM, has driven  just 7 m of the left tunnel (D21) between Brodno and Kondratowicz stations.

The contractor, a consortium of Astaldi and Gülermak, has until September 2021 to complete the project worth PLN 1,397,895000. Completion of the east-north section is part of the project "Construction of the second metro line with the purchase of rolling stock - stage III", which is co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
