On 04.04.2014, 150 m-long TBM Victoria broke through into Whitechapel tunnels to reach the 32 km (over 75 percent) of Crossrail tunnelling completed.

Victoria began the drive at Limmo Peninsula in east London at end-2012. She broke into the huge underground space at Whitechapel where work is taking place 35 m below the surface to create over a kilometre of new platform and passenger tunnels for the new Crossrail station.
