The Federal Office of Transport (FOT), after comparing the costs and benefits have decided to go ahead with the refurbishment and upgrading of the single track Weissenstein tunnel length 3.7km on the Soletta to Moutier railway line. The total cost of the work is valued at EUR 79.67 million and means the tunnel will last for at least another 25 years.
