On 17/09/2021 the Weilan Tunnel part of the Guangxi Tianxi Expressway project invested in and constructed by Energy China Gezhouba Group successfully achieved a full-scale break through.  The left side of Weilan Tunnel is 1,186 m long, and the right side is 1,225 m long.

Tianxi Expressway is an important part of the east-west expressway in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces (China) and the Guangxi Expressway Network Planning and Revision (2010-2020).
