Terzo Valico high-speed line restartsA contract agreement, value EUR500 million, has been reached between RFI and Consortium COCIV, headed by Impregilo, to restart work on lot 1 of the Terzo Valico high-speed line in Italy. The full project is 53 km-long, with another 14 km of interconnections to existing lines. The main tunnels are the monotube, double-track tunnels Campasso (716 m) and Pozzolo (cut/cover, 1,984 m), and the bitube, single-track rock tunnels Terzo Valico (27,110 m) and Serravalle (7,094 m). Overall project value EUR6.2 billion.
