Technical Seminar on TBMsIIR Spain organises a technical seminar on the necessary steps in the selection of a TBM to get a maximum return on investment, estimate with a 100% accuracy the project cost and control and guarantee the time frame for construction. To know the latest technical novelties in TBMs, their types, the advantages and disadvantages of using each type, the assembly and maintenance during tunnelling, the new design trends and how to build tunnels in accordance with high safety requirements, four technical experts of Sumper, Payma Cotas, GISA and Herrenknecht Ibérica will present papers to explain how to select, assemble and maintain TBMs in order to speed up construction time, reduce costs, achieve good tunnels in urban areas, implement efficient support techniques and improve ancillary installations. Moreover, GISA will present the case study of the construction with TBMs of Line 9 of the Barcelona metro. The seminar will be held on 30th and 31st March in Madrid at Hotel NH Príncipe de Vergara.
