Last month TERRATEC’s TR3000 Raise Boring Machine successfully completed two 3.1m diameter shafts for ventilation purposes for copper mines in the Sichuan Province in China. The rock encountered by the RBM was a medium strength, averaging 100 MPa of uniaxial simple compression. The first part of the work was completed in 28 days and the second one in 16 days, which represents a record in this country for this size of shaft.

After completeing these two shafts, the Raise Borer is now being moved to other mining region in the north of the country to create several 300m deep inclined shafts of 2.4m in diameter. For further information click here and visit http://terratec.co/. 18/16.
