Systemair has supplied 122 jet fans - with a 630 to 1250 mm diameter – for the Oddernes and Banehei E18 road tunnels in Norway. Due to the presence of entrance and exit ramps and to the presence of bidirectional traffic in some sections a CFD fire scenario analysis was performed by Systemair in order to corroborate its design and calculations. In April 2019 a cold smoke test was performed in order to confirm the design data.  Main Contractor Skanska and Staten Vegvesen (Norwewgian Public Roads Administration) were present for the test. The safety protocol was applied, and the result was deemed fully satisfactory exceeding the required longitudinal air velocity.
