Seven months from receipt of order, Australian specialist TBM manufacturer Terratec has delivered a 6.61 m-diameter bespoke EPB to contractors building Delhi metro. The machine has VFD electric driven cutterhead, interchangeable cutter tools, active shield articulation, and two-liquid backfilling system. It will erect a universal-type reinforced concrete segmental lining on its 2 km drive from Kashmere Gate to Jama Masjid.
