On the 26.12.2018 the Mumbai Metro-3 (Colabata-Bandra-Seepz) Wainganga 2 TBM broke through at the future Seepz station in Andheri.
The TBM was originally launched on the 23.08.2018 from Sariput Nagar shaft, near Aerey Colony, and has now completed its tunnel drive of 568 m and installing 405 rings. The TBM tunnelled 4.5 m daily for 125 days. Nearly 15 km of tunnelling has been completed and all 17 TBMs have started work on 10 different project sites. The total length of the underground corridor is 33.5 km; it will connect the island city with western suburbs.
