SELI Overseas is the first to complete the TBM excavation on the Gold Line in Doha. On Sunday 01/05/16 at approximately 10.00am TBM 6 will broke through into the Al Aziziyah Station in Doha. TBM 6 is the first one, out of the 6 Herrencknecht TBMs that are excavating the Doha Gold Line Metro, to have completed its 4,5 km long drive. SELI Overseas, executed this section in subcontractor to ALYSJ JV,  and was actually the last to start tunnelling but the first to complete its drive. SELI Overseas as part of this project has broken the world production records for an EPB TBM with  920 m of tunnel excavated to the highest standards in just 1 month. The breakthrough was achieved 2 months ahead of the original programme despite an initial delay of about 2 months with the assembly of the TBM.
