Rohtang tunnel update

The 8.8 km-long horseshoe-shaped Rohtang road tunnel is located in the Himachal Pradesh region of India, where it will replace a pass, which closes for winter. The tunnel is being driven at 3,053-3,080 m altitude. Work commenced in June, 2010, and on 24.09.2012 the total advance reported was 3,117 m.
