Two Robbins double shield TBMs have been working at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics site in Russia in complex geology with multiple fault zones. Specific engineering solutions had to be evolved for dozens of fault crossings, all the while under the scrutiny of the government and the IOC, both of which have deadlines in mind.
