Robbins TBM records in Mumbai

On 21.01.2014 a Robbins Main Beam TBM completed the 8.3 km-long Mumbai Water Tunnel, more than 100 m below ground. The tunnel is one of the longest and deepest water supply tunnels in Asia. The 6.25 m-diameter machine displayed excellent performance despite mixed ground conditions, and achieved impressive advance rates of 870 m/month and 58 m/day. Read the press release.
