Robbins Slurry TBM emerges at Zhanjiang Bay

After advancing up to 392 m/month, the 6.26 m-diameter Robbins Slurry TBM broke through at the end of 2012 in China’s southern-most city. The 2.7 km Zhanjiang Bay Sub-Sea Tunnel, scheduled to become operational in March 2013,  runs 56 m below water level.
