The Paris Line 11 extension to Rosny-Bois-Perrier will be
built with cut & cover, conventional
and TBM methods. The central part of the new alignment between the Serge
Gainsbourg and La Dhuys stations will be excavated by TBM. The 600 m section
between La Dhuys and Rosny-Bois-Perrier stations will be a viaduct.
The TBM, to be used for the Paris Line 11 extension to
Rosny-sous-Bois and manufactured by Herrenknecht, has been named Sofia, after
Sofia Amalou, a RATP agent. The TBM, is 106 m long, weighs 1450 t, and is 9.12 m diameter, it will dig 12 m per
day.
From 22nd July to September 2019, all the main pieces of
TBM Sofia will be transported to the La Dhuys shaft in Rosny-sous-Bois by 25
convoys.
The TBM will be launched in December 2019, to dig the 3km
tunnel toward Lilas and the future Serge Gainsbourg station. Click fr/81 for the tunnelbuilder archive. Visit http://prolongementligne11est.fr/.
