Another opportunity will occur for sub-contractors when Femern A/S offers two more major contracts in December, 2014. These concern the electrical and mechanical installations to be fitted inside the 18 km-long Fehmarnbelt tunnel and a sub-station on Lolland which will supply power to the tunnel and the overhead catenary system for the trains.
At a later stage, Femern A/S will offer contracts for the toll station and aesthetic lighting in the tunnel. There will be additional tenders for the railway track and catenary system, signalling and safety systems, as well as GSM communication. For further information click
