Northgate Link Extension update

Northgate Link Extension will connect the Northgate, Roosevelt and U District neighborhoods to downtown Seattle, US and the airport.

A second TBM is beginning its 5.79 km journey from the Maple Leaf Portal to the University of Washington Station. The machine, named Pamela, will build the southbound tunnel that runs parallel to the northbound tunnel under construction using TBM Brenda. The first TBM has already built about 488 m of tunnel and is on pause while the second machine gets up and running. Click us/42 for tunnelbuilder archive.
