The Wessex Water project to build a 5.5km tunnel for a new “super sewer” in Bristol has reached a major breakthrough. After traveling for 19 months under the streets of Bristol, Wessex Water’s TBM has worked its way from Lawrence Weston to Almondsbury helping to construct the new sewer while minimising disruption and environmental impact.
The EUR 66 million (GBP 55million) investment is one of the latest sewerage projects Wessex Water has undertaken and will support population growth in Bristol for years to come.
