The Government authorized the construction of new emergency exits in 7 tunnels of the Vitoria/Gasteiz-Bilbao-Donostia/San Sebastian-French Border line, on the Vitoria/Gasteiz-Bilbao route, with a budget of EUR36,089,660 euros (VAT included). Each safety tunnel runs parallel to its main tunnel at a distance of 30 m from it.
