At the beginning of December 2021, the Northern tube of a 6 km tunnel the broke through between Castelgomberto and Malo. Which allowed for a 35 km section of road between Bassano Ovest and Montebelluna to be opened.

There is still 293 m of the Southern tube to be completed but this should be accomplished by March 2022, click here for a video update.  

Today travelling from Castelgomberto and Malo through the Priabona pass and Montepulgo needs about 30 minutes. The Valle dell’Agno and the Val Leogra will be connected in only 5 minutes thanks to the new tunnel, which will be opened at the end of 2022.
