On October 22^nd the L&T-STEC JV and MMRC achieved the 21st Breakthrough for Mumbai Metro's Line 3 at Churchgate Station part of Package 1. The breakthrough of Robbins Crossover XRE TBM Surya-II is the second breakthrough into Churchgate Station, following the first XRE that broke through on October 3^rd, 2019. The TBM Surya-II bored a 499 m long tunnel in mixed ground between Vidhan Bhavan and Churchgate. It took approximately 90 days and installed 327 rings. The TBM will used again other tunnels for the project later this year.
