The  new Fornebu Railway/Fornebu line/Fornebubanen will be an 8 km extension of the Oslo Metro. This will connect the Fornebu peninsula in Baerum to the existing Majorstuen T-rail interchange station in Oslo. The line will include the following six new  underground stations: Fornebu, Flytarnet, Fornebuporten, Lysaker, Vaekero  and Skoyen.

The project was approved in January 2018,  and is being carried out by the City of Oslo in collaboration with Akershus County Council. The construction work is expected to commence in 2020. For further information about the project click no/262 and visit
