Bagmati Province government have decided to stop work on the Posta Bahadur Bogati (Bhimphedi-Kulekhani) tunnel construction as it was unable to build the tunnel itself and the federal government had not sanctioned a budget for it.  

The Posta Bahadur Bogati (Bhimphedi-Kulekhani) Tunnel Construction Project involves a twin tube tunnel (7.5m wide and 6.6 m high), T1 -3.20 Km and T2 – 3.17 Km in length, with the approach road approximately 1.9 km on the Bhemphedi side and approximately 0.6 km on the Kulekhani side with bridges and culverts.
