NFM Technologies Receives Order for Water Diversion Project in ChinaTwo 5.75 m-diameter hard rock tunnel boring machines have been ordered to NFM Technologies as part of the project to divert the waters of the Tahoe river, a tributary of the Yellow river, in China. The contracts, for a total amount of approximately EUR16 million, are for the design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the machines, including a single-shield TBM for the China Railway Tunnel Group Company (CRTGC) to be used on tunnel T7 of the scheme, and a telescopic shield TBM for the Sino-Italian group formed by Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 4 and CMC, that will be used on tunnel T9. It has been planned in two successive phases of six years. During the first phase of work, the T7 and T9 machines will excavate 17,247 km and 18,245 km respectively.These latest contracts form part of the continued development of NFM Technologies on the Chinese market.
