New Civil Engineer’s hugely popular Tunnelling Awards returned for their eighth year today. Showcasing the very best in tunnelling expertise the Tunnelling Awards are now firmly established in London as a premier networking event for the global tunnelling community. This year the event has been held at Grosvenor House.

And the winners are:-

·         FCC Construction for the Geotechnical specialist of the year

·         Dragages Hong Kong JV for the Designer Innovation of the  Year

·         Dragages Bouygues JV for Contractor Innovation of the year

·         Tideway London for Community Engagement Award

·         BASF for the Peoples choice Supplier of the year award

·         Crossrail for the Peoples choice for Client of the year award

·         Bouygues Travaux Publics for the Technology Innovation of the year award

·         Tideway London in partnership with ATT (Active Training Team) for the Safety and Well Being Award

·         Ed Zueblin and Strabag for the South Stream – Microtunnelling Shore Crossing Tunnelling Project award of the year (up to $150 million)

·         The Kaneohe/Kailua Sewer Tunnel project for the Tunnelling Project of the year (Over $150 million)

·         Elan Valley Aqueduct (EVA) Rehabilitation Project for Specialist tunnelling project of the year

·         Outstanding Contribution to a Project award goes to @OnlineSouthland for their work on Jollyville Transmission Main Tunnel

·         The young tunneller of the year is Morgan Oleron from Bouygues Travaux Publics.

·         The award for the UK tunnelling team of the year goes to Dr Sauer and Partners, Dragados and London Underground

·         The award for the Global tunnelling team goes to Dragages Hong Kong – Liantang Contract 2
