Milestone for NY subway

The construction of the 86th Street Station cavern of the Second Avenue Subway in New York has been completed this week. Work began in August of 2011. This project, valued at EUR272 million (USD332 million), included extensive excavation for the bedrock cavern that will house the station as well as the shafts and adits for the entrances and cross passageways.
