Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has successfully commenced signalling & integrated testing trials for the whole North-South Corridor (Phase-1A). The integrated testing and trials are for the smooth operation of the trains and to test their interaction with signalling, telecommunications, track and traction.

The integrated testing of different systems, signalling, track and traction is performed at different speeds on the elevated viaduct and inside the tunnel so they can see how the trains react in different operating scenarios.

The trains have been provided with the latest state-of-the-art Communication Based Train Control System (CBTC) and with a Signalling system with Automatic Train Protection (ATP) for automatic braking to prevent any collision.
