Lucerne bypass in designThe Federal Council recently added the Lucerne bypass project to Module 3 of its programme to improve capacity on the road network. The design will be studied in depth and re-evaluated by 2013. The best solution requires a short 4.5 km-long, two-lane bypass with a twin-tube tunnel to cross the river Reuss.
