Lubian tunnel start

On 30.04.2014 drill/blast excavation started on the1,710 m with 106 m in cut/cover right tube of the Lubian tunnel on the Madrid-Galicia high speed railway. The tunnel will be the largest on the Lubian-Tunnel de La Canda section, with a 55 sq msection. The two parallel tubes will have a 50-130 m separation with crosspassages every 400 m. The concrete lining will have a minimum thickness of 30 cm. The tunnel will be waterproofed tunnel and equipped with a drainage system. Click es/110 for tunnelbuilder archive.
