Listec GmbH of Isen, near Muenchen in Germany is supplying its line type heat detector to two major European projects: Line C of Rome metro, and Frejus road tunnel. The LIST cable is fitted in the crown of the tunnels, and is visible over their entire lengths. Each system has been planned according to the differing requirements of the two clients, and given response times in case of fire. Both are redundant, and communicate with SCADA systems in the tunnels, allowing overall supervision from one or more control rooms.
