Important start on Cerdedelo-Prado

Towards end-November, 2012 NATM excavation started on the 52 sq m left hand tube of Cerdedelo-Prado railway tunnel on the Madrid-Galicia high speed line. Work on the parallel 8,570 m-long right hand bore, known as El Corno, started the previous month. The twin tunnels will be connected every 400 m with 18 sq m crosspassages.
