Dear ITA Colleagues

Six months have already passed since I was elected. It has been a pleasure to work with all the members of the Executive Council as well as with many of you as I have been travelling to many countries already : Mexico, India, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark and Finland.  

ExCo members continue their work on updating ITA strategic goals and actions. Our main purpose is to take into account the quick evolution of the Association as well as that of all the stakeholders. Our objective is to be able to present an updated strategic plan to the ITA general Assembly next June in Bergen. 

We have also been very active in the preparation of the ITA Tunnelling And Underground Space awards 2016, that will take place in 2 weeks in Singapore. In addition to the members of the council, judges from the tunnelling industry took part in a very challenging mission to choose, among the 100 or more candidacies, the winners in the different categories. They will be unveiled on November 11th.

I do hope to meet many of you at this occasion.
