Preparation work for a hopper for Almohades in Casablancabegan at the beginning of 2017 has now finished. This will allow for tunnelling works to start shortly. In July 2016 the turkish company Makyol SA secured the EUR55.21 million (MAD540.11 million) contract to build the new 1890m Les Almohades tunnel and the 380m access roads which will help to cut Casablanca’s traffic congestion.
