Dateline Tunnelling 2003 Event in MadridTo highlight the booming civil engineering sector, and more particularly tunnelling both at Spanish and international levels, IIR Spain organises on 28th-30th October, 2003 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Madrid the event Tunnelling 2003, a congress on underground construction in Spain.This event will ease contacts among the tunnelling community, investors and public administrations. It is meant to be the major meeting for tunnel professionals to be held in Spain to date.Tunnelling 2003 will gather officials of the ministry of development, consulting engineers, construction firms and concessionaires of tunnels. There will be an exhibition area and a wide range of conferences will address case studies dealing with the latest underground projects in Spain such as the Guadarrama tunnels, metro line 9 in Barcelona or the Ebro river transfer scheme. Two special sessions will be dedicated to "How to achieve the project and the geological control of the subsoil" and "Updated guide to operation of tunnels: manuals, protocols and safety measures".Tunnelling 2003 will be the opportunity to know the market trends, the latest equipment available, the newest investment projects, new companies, new partnership agreements and the latest advances in tunnelling methods.
