Until 12 noon today, 22 February, you can participate in the choice of names for the two 160 m long TBMs that will come into operation in autumn 2024 for the excavation of the Austrian Pfons-Brenner section of the Brenner Base Tunnel.

The two TBMs will excavate the two approximately 7.5 km-long tubes of the line tunnel in the direction of Innsbruck.

The possible names of the TBM that will excavate the East tube are Olga, Olivia and Ophelia; the possible names of the TBM that will excavate the West tube are Wilma, Wendy and Wanda.
