The main part of tunnels in lot H41 Gola del Sill-Pfons will be driven by two TBMs. The machines - during their tunnelling - will install the rings, composed of prefabricated concrete segments for the lining of the tunnels.   

Today February 9, 2023, the two years production of approximately 51,000 segments was started in the factory located directly in the Ahrental site. The segments will be used in lot H41 Sill Gorge-Pfons. On-site production offers logistical advantages and also protects the environment by avoiding long transport distances on local roads and around 27,000 truck transports from the segment production plant to the construction site.
