On the 25.10.2018 the Technical Committee of the Province of Bolzano expressed its approval for the technical-economic feasibility project for the Perca bypass in Italy. The study was carried out by the engineering firm of Mario Valdemarin, Gebhard Mahlknecht and Johann Röck. The preliminary design of the Perca bypass provides a road layout that develops partly below the town of Villa di Sotto and above the state road, crossing underground to the northernmost part of the town but always remaining outside any areas occupied by buildings.
The ring road consists of two open stretches linked by an underground section between the current Pusteria valley road to the parking lot of the Perca train station, this includes a 2317 m long tunnel section and a third open section. Estimated value of the project is EUR 69.5 million. For further information please visit http://www.provincia.bz.it/news/it/news.asp?news_action=4&news_article_id=619586.
