Algeria - Breakthrough in tunnel RT3030

The Italian company Cipa SpA (Sorrento, NA) have been building two tunnels RT3010 (1120m) and RT3030 (660m) for the new railway line (185km) Relizane - Tiaret - Tissemsilt (RTT) in Algeria.

On 06/08/2017 Cipa, broke through to create the RT3030 tunnel, whose full section on both East and West fronts began on 09/12/2015. The average excavation section is approximately 120 m²with a 6.60 m excavation radius and a 6.15 m length radius.
