On August 11th 2019 TBM Sibylle the first of two TBMs involved in the construction of the Albvorland tunnel, completed 7,700 m of the northern tube after only 18 months. The Albvorland tunnel, has been built between the two towns of Kirchheim unter Teck and Wendlingen am Neckarand and are part of the new Wendlingen-Ulm line. TBM Sibylle will be now disassembled and brought in parts back to the construction area at Kirchheim unter Teck.
Wanda, the second TBM, is still driving the southern tunnel of the Albvorland tunnel and will be arriving in Wendlingen as scheduled in the autumn of 2019.
