Albula tunnel breakthrough

On the 2^nd of October 2018 the 5860 m Albula Tunnel broke through, it is part of the Rhaetian Railway. The tunnel has been built between the Albula valley and the upper Engadine in the Canton of Grisons.Construction started back in April 2015 and the project value was EUR302.92 million (CHF345 million). Most of the 250,000 m3 of muck extracted was used for the production of concrete and ballast and was processed at the Preda site.
