The innovative air cushion based carrier system Airmover 3000, conceived, designed and manufactured by Palmieri Group, was used for the first time to shift 3000 t TBM Martina at Sparvo tunnel construction on the A1 motorway Variante di Valico in Italy. The moving system was built at the plant in Venturina, pre-assembled and tested at the headquarters of Palmieri, and developed at the Sparvo site by Toto Costruzioni.
